This page explains what personal data I collect through digitalmagda.com, why, who else handles it, and what rights you have. I'll keep it short and plain.
Who I am
Digital Magda is a Digital Business Manager service run by Magda, based in Bucharest, Romania. I decide how and why your data is used, which makes me the data controller. You can reach me at dbm@digitalmagda.com.
What I collect and why
- Applications. When you fill out the application form, I receive what you type into it, such as your name, email, details about your business and what you need. I use it to review your application, reply to you and, if we work together, prepare a proposal. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, and my legitimate interest in running my business.
- Emails. If you write to me, I keep the conversation so I can answer you and remember what we discussed.
- Website analytics. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics records how you use the site, such as the pages you view, roughly where you are, and your device and browser. I use it to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Hosting data. The website is hosted by Netlify, which may log technical details such as your IP address and browser when you visit, for security and to deliver the pages.
Who handles your data
I don't sell your data or use it for advertising. It is handled only by these services, acting on my behalf, each under its own privacy terms:
- Airtable for the application form and the responses it stores.
- Netlify for hosting the website.
- Google for website analytics, only if you accept it.
These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they rely on safeguards required by data protection law.
How long I keep it
I keep your data only as long as I need it for the reason you gave it to me. If we don't end up working together, I delete your application after a reasonable time. If we do, I keep what's needed for the engagement and for the accounting and tax records I'm legally required to keep.
Cookies and tracking
The website itself sets no cookies and loads its fonts from its own server. The only optional cookies come from Google Analytics, and they are set only after you click Accept on the banner. If you decline, nothing from Google is loaded. I don't use advertising trackers.
Your choice is remembered in your browser. You can change it at any time with the Cookies link at the bottom of every page, which also removes the analytics cookies if you decline. Airtable is a separate website and may use its own cookies once you're on it, which are covered by its policies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask me to:
- give you a copy of the data I hold about you;
- correct data that's wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data;
- limit or object to how I use it;
- send your data to you or another service in a portable format;
- stop using it where you gave your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Write to dbm@digitalmagda.com and I'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In Romania that is the ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).
Changes
If I change how I handle data, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
